What are your thoughts about the music of Elden Ring? Do you think like Post Malone that it only intensifies the stress that is felt during boss fights buy d2r items? SquareEnix declares that HD-2D Style is pretty expensive over the last couple of years.
Square Enix's HD-2D games have received lots of positive recognition from gamers. Titles like Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy have really captured the attention of nostalgic gamers in part due to their unique art style.
In a new interview with 4Gamer (translated via Nintendo Everything), Triangle Strategy producer Tomoya Asano talked about the visual style, as well as the manner in which it's implemented in the future games of the company. When the interviewer expressed surprise that indie games hadn't begun to follow the same style, Asano revealed the reason being that it's pretty expensive!
"It's most likely worth noting that it's cost is higher than you think. In this regard, it's the perfect match for the titles that come from Square Enix. There's not much to gain from other companies stealing it," Asano told 4gamer.Fortunately this isn't stopping Square Enix from releasing more games with this type of design.
The remake version of Live a Live is set to launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch in July, as a remake of Dragon Quest III is currently being worked on. There are a number of other games which could benefit from this design, and it will be interesting to see which games Square Enix does with HD-2D in the future. While the company has definitely committed to this style of graphic, Asano went on to say that there's no current "definitive bible D2R ladder items," and it will continue to change according to the game.
